The plot thickens….

Firstly I’ve had 3failed recordings over the weekend, message I get says something like “failed due to power failure”.

The hard disk is still on in the morning so a couple of things maybe happening

1) I’ve got a power spike/drop going on which is crashing the box and recording

And/or

2) theres a fault as red light is on, nothing is recording or due to start, hard disk is spinning, but power mode is set to on so it should power down anyway after 3hrs with no user input but it isn’t

Confused and wondering whether I need to return it?
