Am i correct in thinking i can connect a external HDD via USB to my Humax?
Can i record TV programs to it?
If i can, can i then plug the HDD into my computer which has a DVD writer and burn recorded programs from the HDD to disc?

As far as I know the answer is no.

As you have more than one HDR-FOX T2 you might want to pop over to https://hummy.tv and investigate the custom firmware for the HDR-FOX T2 which will help you to do what you want (without changing the standard user interface).
