I have a just bought a foxsat hdr 500 and have figured out most things except; I just cant seem to exit a recorded program other than by deleting it. What am I missing and would be grateful for any advice.
Assuming you mean you are playing back a recording after selecting it from the media list.
Press the button with the square icon between the pause and instant record buttons.
If playing back goes back to the media list.
If recording and viewing and more than one recording is in progress asks which one you want to stop recording. Since vcrs the key with the square has had the same function.

If you would be so kind, there one other thing you will probably know the answer to.
I have loaded up photos to the photo folder but can’t change the slideshow delay setting. I’ve accessed settings and changed the default to 3 seconds but they display for about 9 secs.

I have never seen a setting for this – there is one for “info display time” but that refers ti the i-plate.
Load some mp3’s and you could get music during the slide show.
