I have had this error ” Error E011 Decrypt Error” twice in the last couple of weeks when bringing the box out of standby. It also seems to have stopped the box from recording at some point.

Is this a hardware error or the latest software?

    Welcome to the Forum :-)

Not seen anything like this reported before.

Can you access Maintenance Mode, if so try a reset of the unit.

I tried to get into maintenance mode several times but it wouldn’t do it by following the you view instructions. Is the procedure exactly the same for Freesat ?

My apologises, for some reason I thought we were dealing with YV not freesat 😳

However not seen it reported before.

First thing to try would be a reset followed by HDD format I suspect. If that does not improve things then contact retailer for exchange.

I got this error on a HDR1000S after a power cut which happened while a recording was in progress. The solution seems to be to unplug the box, wait a minute then plug it in again. Until this was done it did not record scheduled programmes.

I’ve just had the same Error E011 Decrypt Error message for the first time.

It was on the TV (Along with the usual Humax and Freetime logos).

And “Starting” was displayed on the Humax box itself.

It was frozen like that, I tried everything including holding the standby button on the Humax itself for ages.

In the end I was forced to pull the mains plug to get it going again.

I think the hard drive never powered up (slight chance I am wrong about that).

    When it had this fault.

So I assume this fault is the Humax starting up and ether it or the hard drive are not happy,

So the system hangs like this.

I think this sort of thing is not unheard of with PC computers etc.. every now and again?

I have had my Humax Freetime box since last November.

I have not had any power cuts recently, I have a clock radio that resets if the power goes off for 1/2 a second or longer.
