InactiveI have a 2000T. In the last 2 weeks my EPG keeps randomly not showing programs.
I noticed the time was slightly out. I have turned off and on again. I have done a factory reset. I have connected up to the internet with a cable and the time is now correct. I still cannot record programs as the programs on the EPG disappear randomly. Has anyone got any suggestion ?

InactiveAre these programmes on ITV, Ch 4, Ch 5 etc? If so, then the problem lies with the PSB2 multiplex which been screwed up since last Thursday.

InactiveSometimes some of the info is there on ch4, ch5 etc then sometimes it disappears, the same with most channels.
I have since tried another Humax box, the. Same model, and that does the same but not as bad.

InactiveIf you tune to BBC1 (HD or SD) and leave the box alone for 20 mins or so then you will find that the EPG will populate fully, i.e. through to next Saturday. If you then tune to ITV1, or any other channel on PSB2, chunks of the EPG will disappear.
The data for the now/next and EPG on PSB2 is at fault and not the Humax box. My Fox T2s and Sony TV are also having the same problem as your 2000T. Recording with padding and scheduling whilst tuned to channels on the other MUXes is the way to go at the moment.

InactiveHi Tim
Thank you for your help. I have managed to manually tune and I received a handful of channels.
Humax are aware and say it’s a widespread Freeview issue and they have passed it on to the technical team.
Daft question – what is recording with padding?

InactiveQuote:Daft question – what is recording with padding?By default your 2000T will use ‘Accurate Recording’ where the recorder wakes up about 15 minutes before the scheduled start time for a programme and waits for the broadcaster to signal that the required event has started. This uses info from the Now/Next data transmitted in the stream. The recorder will stop when the broadcaster signals that the next programme has started. This leaves you at the mercy of the broadcaster as to whether a recording will happen. Hence the problems that have occurred with recording from the PSB2 MUX.
To select padded recording – Menu / Settings / Preferences / Recording
Here you will find 2 settings: Start Padding Time & End Padding Time
The options for both are 1, 2, 5 or 10 minutes
With padding time set to OFF on BOTH start and end padding times the recorder will use Accurate Recording.
I use 5 minutes start and end padding time on my HDR Fox T2 and I think the menu is the same on your 2000T. With padded recording set the recorder will start to record, in my case, 5 minutes before the scheduled start time and and end 5 minutes after the scheduled end time. It does NOT wait for the broadcaster to signal the start and end times but providing the EPG gets updated in time it will follow any changes to the scheduled time.
