    Being replaced by Alistair Thom.

    Quote:

Alistair Thom will become Managing Director of Freesat from the 1st January 2015. Thom is currently Freesat’s Finance Director and Company Secretary, and has been with the business since 2011. He previously worked at KPMG as a consultant; earlier in his career he spent five years at BSkyB. He will work with the Freesat Board as the shareholders look to build on Freesat’s success to date.

Quote from link… “from start up to over 4 million customers”.

    That’s quite a growth in a few months…

Depends how you count the customers, perhaps. User base was reported as 1.84 million last May.

If I had a nice job as MD of one of the UK’s two FTA platforms, I would think twice before resigning without a job to go to. Could end up in a much less desirable position.
