I have a DTR1010 which is approx two years old. I have tried to setup the remote to operate a Panasonic TV, but having tried all of the possible codes time and time again, it will not operate it.
Anyone any thoughts or suggestions?

Does the Panasonic TV have its own remote control? You would be far better off using that to control it.
