InactiveHello everyone!
Can anyone offer some advice on getting my DTR-T2000 into maintenance mode? I’ve tried following the instructions here: http://support.youview.com/articles/Self_Service_FAQ/How-do-I-perform-a-maintenance-mode-recovery-1370864319647/?q=mauntenance+mode&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1 but have not had any luck. I’ve also tried various different variations (VOL – instead of down navigation, holding buttons before connecting power to the device, etc.). Is there something obvious I am missing?

InactiveSame question was asked a few months ago on the YouView forum. Response there (https://community.youview.com/youview/topics/dtr-t2000-maintenence-mode?topic-reply-list%5Bsettings%5D%5Bfilter_by%5D=all&topic-reply-list%5Bsettings%5D%5Breply_id%5D=15320111#reply_15320111) seems to have been successful for that user.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

I’m not sure those instructions are correct, instead of pressing down arrow on remote try touching down arrow on front on unit central control.

InactiveIt’s the official YouView advice. That’s pretty poor, if it’s wrong.

ModeratorDefinitely think it is wrong, been trying on my DTR T2000 using the remote and no go.

Welcome to our Forum

I’m not sure those instructions are correct, instead of pressing down arrow on remote try touching down arrow on front on unit central control.
Looks like this was it. I managed to get it working via the following steps:

Disconnect power to the device.[/*]

Reconnect power, but do not turn on.[/*]

Press and hold the down-arrow navigation button on the front of the box (not the remote) for five seconds.[/*]

A prompt to enter maintenance mode should appear. Press the power button on the front of the box (not the remote) to enter maintenance mode. This needs to be done within a set time, or the box will boot normally.[/*]
That allowed me to enter maintenance mode, reset the device and format the newly installed 2TB drive (!!!).

InactiveThanks for the feedback. I wonder why YouView can’t seem to get the Maintenance Mode instructions right.

The responsibility is ultimately YouView’s, as YouView are in control.

Pity they have not acted upon it and amended the instruction – no surprise 🙄
