Following my appearance on The Chase a while ago we recorded it in HD when it was broadcast. But if /when our Fox T2 dies, we’ll lose the recording so I want to copy it to my PC for posterity and convert it to a universal format that can played across a range of devices. Any advice on how I can do this would be great. I understand HD recordings are encrypted but have no clue how to decrypt them or what else I might need to do. Thanks for any help.

    Admin Edit:

Discussions surrounding the removal of encryption are not permitted on this forum.

There is more than 1 method you could use to decrypt and many of the members over at another forum have used these. Some are easier to get to grips with than others. The other forum is hummy.tv.

Over the past few days there have been a number of posts regarding encryption, and/or the removal of.

Jabberwocky68 initially posted this in the “welcome” section where new members of the form have the option to introduce themselves.

The thread was obviously about the HDR-FOX T2 or the HD-FOX T2, why has the thread been moved to one of the freesat HD sections instead of one of the Freeview HD sections?

It really belongs in the HDR-FOX T2 section but considering the 2000t/1800t section has at least 8 threads that range from enormous clues, to a link with full instructions that would work for an HDR-FOX T2, perhaps that section of the forum would be preferable.

Admin edit: Moved to HDR T2 area by Barry
