Is there some way to select more than one file when copying from main disk to external disk on Freesat HDR ??

Yes press yellow to enter edit mode and select each one using OK to set a tick. Same works for multiple deletes.

Excellent, thanks very much. As I have about 100 files to copy to my new external drive, this will make life a bit easier.

Open the destination drive folder you want to send the contents to in the usual way in File Manager. Go left and open the folder whose files you want to transfer (or stay in the root if they are there).

Press Yellow. You now have a box next to each file, click OK on each one to set a tick. When you have selected all of them click the copy button. (also works for multiple deletes)

thanks for that , got it to work

frankly , whoever wrote the software for this needs to find a 12 year old to show him the way …having pressed the yellow button to find that you could then tick the folder suggested to me that you could transfer the folder …but not at all

the reality is that you can only transfer from one folder at a time ,by opening it as graham says

only when this is complete can you select files from another folder by opening it and then clicking the yellow button again

Correct, it’s far from perfect. The major omission is you can’t select a whole folder and transfer it folder complete with contents externally. But it works once you get to know the hdr and it’s minor foibles :-)

Look at this way unlike lesser pvrs you can at least archive content.
