I have a panasonic viera freesat TV connected to a philips htl5120 soundbar via HDMI ARC, with the Humax HDR connected to the TV via HDMI.

The various user and online guides seem to agree that HDMI ARC is the best single cable connection to use, but also seem to contradict each other about whether all devices (HDR, consoles etc) should be directly connected to the TV or the soundbar first.

There’s plenty of sockets so I think any combo is possible.

I am very confused – any advice would be much appreciated.
