    Hi we have a humax PVR-9150T not sure how old it is but works ace, on our old tv, have just got a new hitachi smart tv can we connect it to that as we have loads recorded on it , please bear in mind , not very tech savvy , and ty for the add to group , hope you dont regret it lol. The old one connected with a scart lead we managed that lol

    I think your options are to either use the composite sockets (assuming the TV has Composite inputs) with an RCA cable or to buy a SCART to HDMI converter.

    I think hubby has sussed it , hes ordered a lead , to go with the other 3 wrong ones that arrived , lol but ty

    I will return if hes wrong again

    Model of Tv would help. Some have a socket that can be used as a scart or component input.

    No simple cable will help you need a powered converter
