I have a FVP-5000T and have just bought a Humax Aura. They are attached to the same TV and the remotes are on the same frequencies. I need to change one of them. It doesn’t matter which.

I’ve tried pressing and holding the OK-0 buttons but the frequency menu doesn’t come up. I’ve tried both devices. No luck with either. Can they be changed? Am I missing something?

To change the remote mode on the FVP-5000T and its remote the OK-0 method is correct. If your remote is a replacement non-Humax branded remote this will not work.

To change the remote mode on the Aura, and its original remote, see

Did you wait long enough for the power button on the remote to come on as according to these instructions?

It’s an original remote control. I’m holding down the OK and 0 (Zero) buttons for a long time. The red power light on the Remote isn’t coming on. When I release the buttons it flickers.

Have you tried following the link in post #2 and followed the instructions for the Aura mode change?

I have a 5000T and an Aura, I changed the remote code on the Aura as the buttons on the Aura remote do not require such heavy pressure to ensure the action is registered.

I gave up on the 5000T but successfully changed the Aura through the Freeview Play preference menu without any problem. Thanks very much to Luke and to all who made suggestions.

Out of curiosity, I just tried the 0/OK selection on my 5000T and the light came at the same time as a yellow message appeared at the top of the screen, my remote is an original RM-L08, so I don’t know why yours will not play ball.
