InactiveI have the HDR 1100S with latest software, connected to the two satellite cables that used to feed my Sky+ box. Both show good signal quality on the Settings menu. But I can’t schedule two recordings for the same time and even if I only have one recording setup, when the time comes for it to start, if I am watching another channel, it puts an on screen message telling me I either have to change channel or cancel the recording. Have I missed a setting somewhere?

InactiveOne or two cable operation is detected only on first install.
Make a note of your recording schedule, taking a picture is nice and quick, then perform a reset to default.
Watch the TV screen carefully for a message on the number of cables detected.

InactiveThanks, will that also wipe the recordings I have on the box, or just the schedule?

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

Just the schedule will be deleted and have to be re-entered.

InactiveI had this problem when I set it up in my bedroom to test it with one feed initially but when moved into my living room it only showed one feed so I had to reset to default and set up again and all worked perfectly for a few weeks now the same thing has happened when using the app from my workplace, only able to record one channel. Cannot wait to get home to check it out……

InactiveSeems my Humax box is working fine its the Freesat App that won’t let me record 2 channels at once, any ideas out there please…. My app says ” You can only record 1 program at once. Would you like to cancel one of the below?”

Most users do not use the app due to the every 20 min boot and also the correlation to problems with the hard disk.

InactiveSurely that’s the idea of the app to be able to remote record, what do you mean ” due to the 20 min boot and also correlation to problems with the hard disk”

When the app is paired the Humax will boot every 20 minutes to check with the freesat server to see if there is a new recording scheduled.
Several users have units which no longer see the hard-disk. A significant percentage of these, but not all, had the app paired. Now this may be just down to the increased wear that booting every 20 minutes must do.

InactiveThanks for your replies REPASSAC, my box is only 1 month old would this make any difference to the problem….

InactiveNo idea really, most users units boot once or
two timestwice a day. Paired units about 72. In a month that is 61 against 2191. In a year 730 against 26,298.Many users think it is a freesat design error not being able to set the frequency of checking for remote records and not being able to specify periods to check.
Humax are trying to identify the cause, hopefully this will be soon.

InactiveMy advice is stop using the app immediately and unpair it from the box to prevent any further repeated boot-ups. There is no doubt in my mind that the repeated boot-ups have a serious impact on the life of the box. If Humax have some evidence to the contrary I am happy to be persuaded otherwise.
