InactiveNot sure if this is the correct forum!
We purchased a FVP-4KGTR Oct 2024.
We have on several occasions had an issue where we record a program, when we go to view the recording it is marked with, say, 2hours & 9 minutes recorded but nothing shows other than a black screen, if we try to wind it forward the recorder shows the speed of the fast forward but nothing moves.
This issue can happen on any channel, the latest occasion was 2 programs on the same channel one after the other, the first one was as described above the second was fine.
We have tried switching it off at the wall for a few minutes then trying again, we reset it to factory settings twice but neither has helped.

No it isn’t the correct Forum it should be in the Aura Forum.
As regards your problem, how often is it occuring? I have an Aura and I have seen it happen but very rarely.

InactiveHi Martin thanks for getting back to me. This may happen a couple of times a week maybe more, not sure as I won’t know until I try to watch a recording. I deleted 14 recordings yesterday that had the problem.

InactiveOK you bought a Humax Aura.
When did you buy this, is it less than thirty days old, take it back and get a replacement or a full refund if you prefer.
If you have had it for over thirty days is it still under warranty, if so get it repaired. Contact whoever you bought it from and arrange the repair, if you bought direct from Humax get in touch with them
I have had my Aura for almost four years and mine has only done this on a couple of occasions.
In the meantime check all cabling in and out of the Aura is firmly seated, have you tried a different HDMI cable
just in case. Most likely there is something wrong with the box, perhaps writing to the hard drive, who knows
but it is worth checking the cabling just in case it is something simple.
As it is happening frequently it is most likely a fault.

Just checking
What channels are you trying to record?
The normal terrestial channels or the Internet ones because you can’t record those ones – just asking

InactiveHi, they have all been terrestial channels as I know that I couldn’t record the internet channels.
I spoke to Humax customer services, he advised that I did a hard disc format, he also said as it does record “most” programs as normal, he wouldn’t class it as a repairable fault.

InactiveIt doesn’t matter that it is recording some programmes and not others, there is something wrong with the Aura.
You bought it in good faith that it would record all programmes requested not some.
Humax support have got a cheek saying that to you, do you have a name for that person, I would make a complaint about them.
Did you buy the Aura direct from Humax, if not get in touch with the retailer you bought it from if it is under warranty.
After paying over £200-00 for it you should be making it perfectly clear you are not happy with its performance and not for it to be hit or miss when it comes to recording, which is its basic premise.
How long have you had the Aura.
If you did buy direct from Humax and they are saying it is an unrepairable fault then the only satisfactory conclusion would be for Humax to replace your Aura or give you a full refund.
