Best way to back up on external drive

    I have been looking into backing up a lot of films we have recorded on the 2000T but I am unsure which way is best. USB or external hard drive. Also, has anyone any experience buying a suitable (good price/make) drive that is best compatible with this machine ? How long does it take to transfer etc ?
