InactiveJust something that may be of interest to those having problems with the AV button on the Aura remote control (usually with Sony TV’s). Mine had always sent me down a blind alley since I bought the Aura over a year ago.
I recently had cause to do a factory reset (problems with STV Player – which the f/reset cured by the way).
A few days later I happened to press the AV button by accident and lo and behold a row of HDMI input boxes appeared across the bottom of the screen and I was able to scroll to the required input and press ‘ok’ – just like on all my other remotes.
I can only assume the Factory Reset did it.

InactiveI had a similar thing with mine, connected to a Sony TV.
Used to just go to AV when I pressed the button.
I had cause to just re-enter the TV code number and it now works properly.
Probably set it up before the last update and never tried again?

InactiveThinking back to what I said about the Factory Reset it must have just been a coincidence. It could only have been the pairing between Handset and TV set that changed somehow. The AV button now works even with the Aura unplugged. I have reset the Sony code number in the past for various reasons but the AV button has only ever gone to AV input. Either Humax have updated the Handset (unlikely without saying anything), or Sony have changed something.
Thanks for your response Egrosvenor. The main thing is it now works for whatever reason.

InactiveHi, had same issue with my Sony XE90. I didn’t try a factory reset, what I did:
1. Hold TV power and OK to go into the setting where you normally type in the 3 digit code.
2. Press Ch Up button until TV turned off. Note I only had to do this once.
3. Hold OK button for 3 secs.
Note this is the same method for searching for your TV code/compatibility if you don’t know the code, it’s detailed in the online user manual. Except normally you might have to end up pressing the Channel Up button several times until you find your TV, which is why the code method is easier.
Hope that helps others, worked for me.

InactiveSony Bravia here. Managed to get the AV Input sidescreen to show using Iggy’s suggestion of the Ch Up button (after many fails otherwise), but although the AV button toggles between the various input options, er, that’s all it does – ie the sidescreen stays there and each press just highlights the next HDMI input – there’s no OK option to actually select and close the sidescreen.
So not a lot of point to this

InactiveSame for me Rikki with my Aura and Sony, not a lot of point really.

InactiveOn my LG TV the Aura AV button lets me scroll to the appropriate input but as you say OK does nothing. However a few seconds after scrolling to an input the TV automatically selects the highlighted input. My old FVP-5000 does the same.

InactiveNo, on the Sony, it just remains on the input selector screen and nothing else happens
