InactiveHi
HDR FOX2
I have been unable to stop the Auto switch to standby feature. I have been to Settings/System/Power Management/ and have the following settings:
Power saving in Standby : On
Automatic Power Down: Off
Do I have to save these settings somehow?
Thanks

Hi
HDR FOX2
I have been unable to stop the Auto switch to standby feature.
What exactly are you seeing happen?. Do you have a power on or power off setting?

InactiveHi Martin
Thanks for responding.
The problem only occurs three hours after switch on – so have spent the morning watching TV!
What I see is a small black box appear with the info “logo”
and it says:
TV will soon turn off
by idle TV Standby, Press a key
to keep it on.
My settings in Settings/System/Power Management are:
Power saving in Standby : On
Automatic Power Down: Off
Pressing a key does nothing!
Then the Humax turns off and the TV screen goes black
Any ideas?

ParticipantLook in Menu Settings Time. Do you have a power off timer set ?

InactiveI would check your television settings not the HDR’s as the message mentions the TV – this would also explain why pressing any key did nothing – wrong remote.

InactiveHi Graham
I have checked the Power Off Timer and that is set to Off.
Hi Repassac
Hmmm! I think you may be right. I was unaware our TV powers off after a certain time if it receives no input! My wife, when quized, admitted to this fact. I have never seen it happen!
At 8pm we will make sure we press a TV remote key and see what happens.
Many thanks for your ideas.

InactiveHi Repassac
Yes, you were correct! When I eventually tracked down the “Idle TV Standby” setting in the Sony Bravia’s Eco section it was saying 3hrs! This clearly is what was happening. The setting is now OFF.
Thank you ever so much for your help.
