InactiveAura started to display error code fvp 03 024 when trying to launch iPlayer etc. Unplugged, rebooted, no change. Worked OK the next morning. Same error code later on the evening.
Ethernet connection seems ok when lead plugged into smart TV, so suspect Humax bug.
Any ideas please?

InactiveHumax support useless. They don’t know what the error code means! Usual cut and paste response – do factory reset (and lose all my recordings) – no thanks.

InactiveI’m having this same fault every time I open one of the Freeview Play catch-up apps. I’ve tried everything including resetting the Freeview settings. I refuse to reset the whole box as this is unacceptable.
Does anyone have any clue about what might be causing this? I’m assuming it’s a background Freeview Play update as it started happening by itself. Interestingly, if you open an on demand programme through the guide, it opens the relevant section of the catch-up app fine, but opening the apps themselves doesn’t work.

InactiveI started this post. The fault seems to have gone away….fingers crossed!

InactiveDid you do anything to fix it? I’m still having the fault.

InactiveNot knowingly! Cleared itself after a few days of fiddling about with reboot etc and been OK for 3 weeks so far.

InactiveI’ve had this message intermittently when launching BBC Iplayer and BBC Sounds.
Other apps (Spotify, Amazon movies etc) work fine so not a connection problem. I could usually clear the error by hard reboot and then playing a Freeview channel from the ariel first before attempting to use the BBC apps. This workaround stopped working a couple of days ago. I managed to get the apps working by Clearing Data & Cache on the Freeview Play app.

InactiveWe’ve been experiencing the same.
What we’ve just found out how to get it working (and failing), and reproduced the success and failures a few times.
If we start iPlayer from the apps menu, it fails with the same code. If we press the Freeview play button and start iPlayer from the icon on that screen, it starts fine.
Can anyone else confirm?
Thanks

InactiveNow after reproductng this a few times. We went back later on and it started from the app screen.

InactiveI have seen the Error message recur after using the ‘fix’ that I described earlier (clear Data on Freeview Play app). Clearing Data did NOT fix the problem this time but I note that the when it did fix the problem I was asked to agree to T&Cs on first use and that this behaviour did not occur after subsequent use of Clear Data – so it looks like the data was not fully cleared. A reboot has got Iplayer working this time.

InactiveI’m having this same issue now; with all the players – BBC iplayer, STV player, Channel 4 and My5. Weird thing is I have 2 app icons for My5, one works, one gives error! Tried all the fixes to no avail at the moment. The code I get is slightly different – FVP-03-023 and at various stages during trying to fix it I get FVP-300
