The last two or three days the sound has been patchy like I can hear maybe 3 out of 4 words. It is the sake on HD, SD. On demand, and on recordings made some time ago and known to be good. MY TV works perfectly with the DVD player too. The unit is about 7 months old and under guarantee.
IMHO it has to be the HDMI or the Humax box?
Try the following steps.
Settings – Picture And Sound – Digital Audio Out – Stereo
Turn down your TV volume
Using the Humax remote turn up the box volume to near max.
Turn up the TV volume to a reasonable listening level.
In future use the TV remote to control the volume or invest a Harmony remote that allows you to assign the remote volume control to the TV whilst still controlling the other Humax functions.
