Just got a 2tb Humax Aura, I’m very happy with it so far, but I cannot get the Assistant working on the remote. In online videos, people are pressing the Google button, and the light stays on, but mine doesn’t.
I have completely reset everything back to factory settings 3 times, I have Bluetooth paired the remote quite a few times but Assistant doesn’t work on this unit, can you help please. oh and I got it from Argos and the box wasn’t sealed, when I asked for a sealed one they said that’s how all the Aura boxes are, really.
Have you created your Google Account.
Have you switched on Google Assistant in
Settings> Device Preferences> Google Assistant > On.
If the remote control is paired correctly then the green LED on the remote should show whenever a bluetooth controlled function the remote is pressed. For example the Channel + and _ buttons, press them and if it light s green its paired.
You can also go to
Settings> Remotes & Accessories> RM-C01, if it says Unpair your remote is paired.
If you are certain there may be a fault with the Aura or the remote you have thirty days from purchase to either get a replacement or a full refund.
I can’t remember if the Aura box came in a plastic cover when new it was almost four years since I bought mine.
I would be surprised if there wasn’t some sort of tab seal/ anti tamper seal though, does the box look like it had been opened previously. On opening the box was the remote in its own plastic seal/ sleeve and the Aura it self,
what about the power cable was that bagged up with twist wire, batteries in a little plastic sealed bag.
Everything inside the box was sealed, the paperwork was all over the place though.
I managed to fix it and yes the green light was on when you pressed the assistant but but it didn’t do anything.
I found the answer on this forum, I had to change the remote’s code to 2 and now assistant comes up on the tv.
