InactiveHi. I have one of the original 9150 PVRs and this gives analogue output of TV signal and recordings. We use this to provide a second feed to a TV in the kitchen via a TV distribution system.
We never moved to an HD PVR as this feature disappeared. I notice the T1000 has reinstated an analogue composite output connector, but does this output Humax data, or is it simply an aerial pass-through?
Thanks,
David

InactiveJust to clarify my query with the correct terminology……
The query is whether content is output via the co-ax output through an RF modulator, or whether co-ax output is simply aerial loop through.
Thanks

ModeratorWelcome to the Forum

Output is simply loop thru on the DTR T1000.

You could plug an external modulator into the SCART port to achieve what you want eg Link to Maplins; probably something cheaper on eBay.

Very simple to connect a modulator to the box.

InactiveYou can use any old VCR or DVD recorder as a UHF modulator if you still have one to hand.

InactiveThanks for your help. I will go with an RF modulator from the SCART as suggested.

InactiveOne issue you will have with feeding the SCART output to the kitchen TV while using HDMI to feed the main TV is that it will not show the menus etc. Possibly you could live with that for now until Humax fix it assuming it is not too far between the two TV sets for when you need to see the menus.

InactiveHi,
I’ve just done this exact setup and didnt realise you wouldnt see the menus, I have a RF modulator sending a signal to a second tv and a HDMI going to the main TV. Is there anyway to get the menus up on the second TV, My wife keeps sending me downstairs to change the channel, Thanks

InactiveOne solution that some have used is to use an HDMI splitter either with an extra long HDMI cable to the bedroom / kitchen TV or via an wireless HDMI sender.

I thought I was going crazy when I saw this! Rather than a modulator, why not use a video sender and get a better picture.

InactiveIt is debatable if it is a better picture. And doesn’t solve the core problem of not seeing the menus.

Tried several, waste of time in my property. A lot depends on the construction and distance required. One poster tried to use one in his bedroom, every time he twitched his big toe he lost the picture. Coax connection works anywhere and isn’t subject to interference from other kit like cordless phones, wifi routers etc.
If the box can be persuaded to work with a hdmi splitter then a pair of HD baluns connected by two cat5 cables will give HD pictures.
