InactiveAs per title
All recordings deleted.
Will not record anything, either when pressing record or scheduling from TV guide.
Any ideas how to fix?
Thanks.

Have you turned the box off at the wall then back on?
Are you getting any extra noise from your 4000t, especially on boot up?

InactiveYes have turned off at wall, reset factory settings too.

It sounds like the hard drive isn’t being recognised, or is dead.
I think your only course of action is to contact Humax support. Are you still under warranty?
Edit: Actually, before contacting Humax, the manual suggests checking the HDD.
Home – Settings – PVR Settings – Storage. Run HDD test.
Also, here you can format your hard drive. It might be a good idea to try this, too. (If the hard drive is recognised.)

InactiveFormat should be a last resort !!
When you go to the recordings screen does the HDD space show empty or part used in which case in may be that the recording are there, just not being displayed ( a known feature of the 4000T)

Whilst I don’t disagree with you about format being last resort, so far multiple reboots and factory reset hasn’t brought the recordings back, and pausing live TV doesn’t work. This doesn’t quite sound like the bug some of us have had.
If the HDD test works, what else would you suggest to bring back recordings and allow live pause, before trying a format (which obviously removes recordings anyway).

I’m glad it’s sorted.
If you ever get that again though, Stu – where you can’t get your recordings back – I’d strongly suggest contacting Humax.
Just for out of interest, did the HDD scan show anything?

InactiveThe scan just froze, had to unplug to get it back on to format it

InactiveWhen the hard drive gets t about 50% full it stops recrding. Clear down old stuff and it works
