When will Freesat add channels such as Yesterday,Quest,Dave,& Drama that are on readily available on FreeView!
Easy – When the pay the EPG fee.
When they are on a satellite that only covers the UK.
They are currently encrypted because they are broadcast from a satellite with a footprint that covers most ot mainland Europe.
They have to be encrypted to prevent them being watched in other countries

Isn’t it more likely that SKY mandated encryption to confine the channels to their platform, rather than FTA? I believe they have done that in the past.
Thanks guys for the replies, doesn’t look it’s going to happen any time soon?

That applies to BBC1 [+HD], BBC2 [+HD], BBC3, BBC4, ITV1, ITV2 [+1], ITV3 [+1], ITV4 [+1], Ch.4 and probably several others. All clear despite broadcasting a signal receivable in europe.
