    Simple answer you can’t.

You could pick up a cheapo NowTV boxlet to add to your setup. Gives you iPlayer, ITV Hub, All4, Youtube, and a few other apps – no need to subscribe to NowTV

Just got to this having bought a HDR 1800T. Is it the case that I only have BBC iplayer, BBC news, BBC sport and YouTube as my apps?

    Yep that is correct.

Even those apps can be pretty unreliable and have a tendency to throw you out of iPlayer back into live TV.

As an alternative, can I open an app like ITV Hub on my PC and project it wirelessly to my TV through the dongle on my Humax?

No but why would you want to ?. Much easier directly from your PC/Smart Phone or Tablet. Check out the Chromecast device.

I will second Graham’s suggestion re: Chromecast. I can cast just about anything from my phone to Chromecast e.g. catchup TV, Youtube, files and media from my NAS etc. etc.

Incidentally many PC’s/laptops already have screen casting built in especially new ones running Windows 10. Many smart TV’s will have the required app without any extra hardware.
