I had a problem with picture quality on my tv and discovered that water was coming down my aerial. Got that fixed but have discovered that my Humax’s “antenna” in socket may have got water damaged as I am having problem with picture quality when I run the aerial through the Humax. The antenna in socket also looks a bit rusty, so I have tried cleaning it with cotton ear buds and wd40 and brasso but with no luck.
Other than to bin it and get a new one, anybody got any ideas on what I can do?

Sorry to be a prophet of doom but I don’t recall anybody reporting any success with repairing this sort of fault; however this does mean that you have very little to lose. Please let us know if (and how) you get it working.
Thought I might be struggling to fix this one, thanks for your message anyway.
