I have just bought a new Humax FVP-4000T and spent this morning setting it up. I already have a Foxsat HDR that I want to use at the same time, but the remote controls are not independent.
Contacted Humax telephone support and was advised to switch off one PVR completely and then press OK and 0 simultaneously on the relevant remote for the working machine. This advice is also echoed on your forum.
I have now tried this at least 30 or 40 times with either one PVR in use or the other. The message is always the same: “Failed changing remote control code. Try again.”
A second telephone call to Humax advised that this was a question of technique. I have tried doing it quickly and waiting for a variable number of seconds. The result is always the same.
If it is a question of technique, can someone offer me some more advice

When you press and hold the OK and 0 together do you see the change code message on screen:
“You can change the remote control mode.
Press a Numeric Key (<1> ~ <6>) to select the mode
Current mode: Mode 1.”
If not, you will just have to keep trying, as support have stated it is just a matter of technique, frustrating as it is for you.
