InactiveCan someone please help by telling me how I can adjust the picture width (mode) on the 1000s. As things stand at the moment, the picture is so wide, the Guide channels are left off the screen. I have tried to change the width, but its either too wide or only shows half a screen.
Is there something I am missing, perhaps?
Any suggestions gratfully received.

InactiveThe picture settings as well as matching your physical TV must also match the TV settings.
Normally you set the HDR-1000S screen-ratio to 16:9 (If that is what it is physically, also called wide-screen) and the display-format to Auto. It will then pass the picture to your TV that will process the picture according to it’s settings, which is what you could have set incorrectly.

InactiveHi REPASSAC
Many thanks for coming back. I obviously had a brainstorm when I wrote the question as I should have put HDR 1010, not 1000s. My apologies for wasting your time

Essentially an identical box. Other than being White and having built in WiFi it’s functionally the same box. Do you by any chance mean the Youview box like this one (Note the DTR rather than HDR)

This is the HDR1010S

InactiveYou are right Graham, on checking, it is indeed DTR 1010.

InactiveDon’t know the unit but I would guess the advice would be exactly the same. They all use much the same logic.

ModeratorThe DTR T1010 is a YouView unit.
There are no adjustments for aspect ratio setting on this unit, so you need to check your TV settings.

InactiveThank you Barry. I did try adjusting TV, but wasn’t very successful.
Thanks again for letting me know.

InactiveIf you post the TV make and model, someone might be able to advise.

InactiveThanks everyone. Managed to get someone to look at TV in end as it kept on reverting the picture to 4.3. All OK now.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
