InactiveI’ve been happily using an HDR-1000S for a few years now (previously with an old LG TV, and for the last month or so a new Panasonic TX40CX680B). This evening, I turned on the TV and on the screen it said something about this version of the software could tell Humax about my viewing habits. I presume this means we’ve had a software update automatically applied.
However, now I can watch maybe 1 minute of any channel before my TV flashes up “HDCP invalid, AV blocked” (I tried the old LG TV – it just goes to ‘snow storm’). I’ve tried a ‘factory reset’, but still the same. I tried doing another software update, but it can’t find any to use. Right now, I don’t have a TV – the sat box is as good as useless.
Has anyone got any suggestions of anything I might be able to try to resolve this situation? Can I downgrade the software somehow? Can I get another update that fixes this?

InactiveThanks Barry – I’ll give the steps you suggest a try.
I also found this: http://www.humaxdigital.com/uk/products/product.php?gid=135&pid=6 and used it to downgrade my software to the previous version. This has got the TV working again.
I should point out that the TV in use here is an almost brand new Panasonic UHD TV, which I have upgraded to their latest software (so most definitely not “older televisions” as suggested in the FAQ page above and elsewhere).

ModeratorThanks for the update, I’ll pass on the fact that your TV is almost brand new.
There will be a problem if you leave your unit connected to internet as it will update again to 3.00.18 overnight.
Check your PM’s again.
Can you post model of TV please.
