If you have a smartphone or digital camera you can take photos of the schedule and delete after setting back up. Quicker than writing everything down.

Sounds like a power supply problem. If still under warranty contact Humax for a repair.

Having contacted the store we bought it from, it has become apparent this is a common problem; as unless you are in possession of a urc with the ability to learn functions (the urc7130 does not), there is no way of accessing the media page. thanks for your help though

I think you misunderstood my post. You can program the buttons on a OFA remote using the key magic feature. This is NOT a learning process it is a programming process, similar to programming the devices but for individual keys.

Please look at the PDF file here (link) for more information for your remote.

You used to be able to request the required codes from OFA but if this is no longer possible you may be able to find the in the sites I linked to above

As its an OFA remote it should have the ‘Key Magic’ feature installed. with that if you can find out the code you can assign it to any spare button or shifted button (magic key is the shift key)

In the first instance do a code search on the OFA site for the Foxsat remote to see if the code for the function is listed there. You may have to email a request for the code(s).

Failing that have a search on http://www.hifi-remote.com or Remote Central for files relating to the Foxsat remote that you have and then for the EFC code for the correct function.

The remote can be programmed via the pins under the battery cover but that is a more involved process details of which can be found on hifi-remote.com should you wish to investigate.

My complaint was that search terms on this forum did not find this topic — not on the internet.

    Enough

You obviously did not take the time to search the FAQ section or you would have found the FAQ item I linked to above, which could also be found by a search of the forums.

A search of this forum for 9200t clock problem shows 2nd item in relevant posts as this FAQ item My 9200t shows –:– in Standby (link)

I don’t see any benefit in this discussion continuing in this vein. I am minded to lock the thread if it continues.

    Hi Pete

It does sound as though you have another 9300 with one defective tuner. Contact your supplier for another replacement.

You could also look for codes for store branded TVs Matsui, Teknika etc. as they may use the same internals.

yes the one you need is the TV link + AD kit.

The kit comes with infra red ‘blasters’ which you fit to the top of the unit to control close to the infra red sensor (but not so it blocks the remote from in the same room). These just relay the signals from the ‘magic eye’ through the coax and TVlink + to the IR blaster to operate the remote equipment.

See the TVlink+ without Sky box in this diagram

Sorry for the delay in replying, It’s my weekend on call.

As you are using Cat5 cable for the picture and sound you won’t need a modulator. You would only need that if you were using RF to deliver the signal. The TV Link + has it’s own power brick (whereas the Sky box supplies the power) and you would just need to connect the coax cable between the ‘magic eye’ and the TV Link + box, it would not need to be connected to the TV at either end.

The easiest option as the cabling is already there is the TVLink+ unit (TVLink website) which will utilise your existing ‘magic eye’ but controls the remote box by the use of Infra-red emitters that you mount on the front of the Humax.

I’ve used one with an old Virgin V+ box in the past.
