ParticipantThanks for the correction Martin
Quote:You can run humaxrw natively on an HDR-FOX T2 with the custom firmware so it is possible to copy from a 9200T/9300T drive to an HDR-FOX T2.I hadn’t noticed that in the packages or does it need compiling?

ParticipantJust to add to Martin’s reply, IIRC the limit was 512 files on the 9200T and given that the 9300T filesytem is similar though not identical I would think the same applies. As I recall the most anyone tried in a 9200 was a 500GB which may have just been the availability of ACE drives.
I would keep any 2TB drives for the HDR FOX T2’s
Quote:4) Is the humaxrw backup between 2 humax formated drives a physical or logical backup ?It copies the .ts file and the sidecar files from the source drive to the target. I’ve done it between 9200t drives but I never had a 9300 so don’t know if the sidecar files are different but they definitely are on the Fox T2’s and humaxrw won’t read or write to those drives anyway but the T2’s will play the .ts files from e.g. an external drive

ParticipantThanks for updating us.

ParticipantMost of the OFA remotes will program all the main functions on the buttons and any missing functions can be programmed using what they call ‘Key Magic’ or by learning them onto the remote. (N.B. Not all OFA remotes can learn).
In addition some are programmable from a computer or smartphone eg urc-7955-smart-control.html

I ran the disk fix.
After 24 hours my pc locked up.
Thanks
If it’s the same as fix-disk on the HDR-T2 then it runs on the HDR itself so if the PC locks up then reboot and log back in.
edit: just to add that you can have multiple telnet sessions running so if fix-disk hangs then you can open another session and kill it from there.

ParticipantI can now confirm that humaxrw works within Windows 10 running under Parallels. When the USB lead is plugged in you will get the choice to use it with MacOS or Windows, so you must choose Windows.
If using humaxrw from the command line you must be running it from an Administrator command prompt, though the front end runs within the VM as well.

Will HumaxRW work with a Mac running Windows 10 via Parallels desktop ?
It certainly works from Bootcamp but would have to check if it works from the VM. The USB port would have to be assigned to the VM. I will try and check in the next few days when I get time.

ParticipantLooks like March 21st for Crystal Palace. 3 Muxes moving, the Com 7 & 8 to the SFN and the local one getting a small signal boost at the same time.

I have had two Fox T2 pvrs both of which failed due to overheating but they were great during the 5 years I had them.
As a matter of interest; what were the failure symptoms on the HDR-FOX T2s and why do you think it was overheating?
I’d also be interested in your answer having had to replace a hard drive in a friends machine due to excessive heat causing constant corruption and errors. I installed the CF fan control to set it to run constantly in the absence of being able to resite it with greater airflow.

ParticipantThanks Luke, I didn’t realise it was all com7 & com8 transmitters. All the others I checked don’t carry those Mux’s.

ParticipantThis makes no sense to me at all.
Crystal Palace Com7 & Com8 will be moving into the 700 MHz band not clearing it.
They are currently on ch33 (570MHz) and 35 (586MHz) and moving out of band A to ch55 (746MHz) and ch56 (754Mhz) respectively.

I see a group T is recommended, I’ve not come across this before. I thought wide band was group W.
Group W covers the whole band as it used to exist from ch21 up to ch68. The new group T is the replacement wideband after the 800MHz band was sold off for 4G use.

ParticipantMany people here recommend the Harmony range of remotes. They are programmable via your PC.
I personally use OFA Xsight remotes but sadly they are now discontinued.

ParticipantI assumed, as he said he has downloaded them to the phone (using the humax apps?) that he wants to play them on the phone while away from the box otherwise they would be available on the Humax box drive already.
Perhaps the OP will clarify.
aldaweb
ParticipantGraham I believe the OP is trying to play them on the iPhone not the other way round.
I don’t have the box either bit on an iPhone, VLC or MxPlayer will play decrypted ts or m2ts files (ie SD only) along with a wide variety of other formats, but I usually play them from a portable wifi hard drive not from the phone storage itself.
Perhaps Barry would know more about the capabilities of the Humax apps.
