ParticipantWelcome to the Forum.
I don’t believe so. Most remote code sites are for fully programmable remotes such as the Harmonys or OFA JP1.x types.
You could post the correct one here though to help the next person

ParticipantIn the old place there was a lengthy thread about incompatible USB-IDE adapters. IIRC they would work happily if they were connected directly to the drive or the drive to the hummy motherboard, but with the cable mod in place either you could not see the recordings or the USB would not connect (though some were just plain faulty).
Also ISTR that the drive should be on the middle connector with the end going to the motherboard and the USB adapter in the socket on the other end.
Just a couple of ideas to check..

Re HummyReadFiles, 0.94 was the last version and is OK if you haven’t upsized your drive but has problems if you go over 250 recordings even if you reduce the number again. Earlier versions could not cope with ‘illegal characters’ in filenames.

ParticipantIn the other place there were discussions and details of using a SATA drive (eg SCE instead of ACE) with an adapter. Something else to think about if you run into problems with non ACE IDE drives.

I’ll see if I can find details later for reference.
Edit: obviously the other place lost all the info but there are some posts on DS here about it though now quite old.

Hummy.org.uk is no more !
Mike has again thrown in the towel, citing server hacking as the cause of its demise this time. 😯
I guess he still didn’t have a site backup to restore

ParticipantI think that would involve registration on a back-end database somewhere joining a (logged on) user to their registered HDR.
Sky and Virgin already have those databases in place with details of the equipment or rather smartcards owned as well as being ISP’s so it’s easier for them to implement.
It certainly is handy to be able to set up a recording remotely as I do with my Tivo if I’ve forgotten to set something but I think the logistics for setting it up on a system which lacks authentication at the unit would be prohibitive.
You could of course use a Slingbox.

ParticipantAnd they could give you a nasty burn (not to mention the jolt) if you didn’t discharge them before changing a chassis. Thank goodness most video screens are now flat.

ParticipantIf the rmeote doesn’t have a function to cycle through all possibilities and you’ve already tried all the codes in the book then I think you are out of luck. (did you also try Medion codes?)
Even one of Tevion’s own learning remotes doesn’t have the code for that TV according to a post on another forum.

ParticipantUpdate:
I believe I’ve found the problem.
The files were originally .ts files from the 9200t that were edited in VideoRedo, but the bitrate in the header was set as for burning to DVD. Running through VideoRedo batch Processing to reset the Bitrate in the header to the true Video bitrate the files now show up and play.
May help someone with a similar problem.
Edit: I was a bit premature – it worked for a couple of files but not all

the earlier version of the board is more likely to be found in silver machines.
I feel a Hawkwind session is nigh 😈
My hummy which suffered the clock problem is an early silver (as all the early ones were) so would concur with you on that.

No don’t do that because the link to Hummy.org doesn’t work anymore. I’ve just edited my original file and will post it in the 9200 section, presumably Key Master can then decide where best to put it.
Sorry, I meant the original post on DS (which I used for the old hummy FAQ) as I’m all too aware what happened with the posts to the old hummy site
but I see you’ve posted here already so it’s academic now.I’ll add it to the 9200 FAQ if it’s not already been done.
Edit: done

You didn’t say what video formats worked and which didn’t but ..
They’re all from the 9200t and edited with VideoRedo, so the only differences could be resolution or bitrate.
Thanks for the link I’ll have to check it out if I’m not busy over the long w/e – on call all 4 days

ParticipantThanks, nice to see you here. We could just copy the post from DS into the FAQ (with a credit of course) which is what I originally did on the old forum.

ParticipantHi and welcome to the forum.
Take a look through the FAQs, wiki and blogs and any specific questions you have post in the relevant forum, I’m sure someone will be able to help.

I notice no reference was made to the fact that is no “Five” on Freeview HD. They declined their allocated slot and opted to go subsciption instead ..
Which of course made way for BBC ONE HD
