ParticipantHi and welcome to the forum

If you only intend to transfer all the recordings and not a subset then the backup command would be better
Code:humaxrw 2: 1: -bwhere 2: is the source and 1: is the destination drive.
from the “README” for humaxrw the syntax for what you were doing is
Code:humaxrw 2: 1: -g 1-10not sure if that would affect the warnings though as the 1st file transferred OK
Can you confirm you are using version 1.14
IIRC it is normal to get the warning when writing to a drive but I haven’t swapped drives for a while.

…..
My guide to removing the board was an excellent YouTube video.
…..
Is this the You Tube video you refer to? I would advise dismantling the 9200 on a table/workbench etc. not on your knees as PCRowan does. 😯
The maker of that video also doesn’t realise the ribbon cable is in a ZIF socket – there is a small latch which releases/locks the cable.

ParticipantHi Frans and welcome to the Forum

Whilst this forum is principally geared towards UK equipment I will attempt to address your problem. Perhaps if anyone else from your country reads this they may be able to help more.
I assume that you mean Scart cable, in which case you will only be able to view the digital Cable channel on the DVD that the Humax is tuned to (or playing back), unless your DVD also has a digital cable tuner. Set the DVD recorder to the Line input that corresponds to the scart socket the lead is plugged into to view or record to DVD.
Note that you may not be able to record HD broadcasts to the Sony recorder.

ParticipantHi Matty and welcome to the forum

It would seem you are experiencing the same problem as others earlier in this thread. It is apparently a recent problem but when a fix is available Barry is sure to update everyone on this forum.
BTW please try not to type in all capitals as it is generally considered ‘shouting’ in online communities and makes it more difficult to read.

ParticipantI’ve used a TVlink+ (see link)which is basically the same as the Sky system but has the power supplied from a plug-in adapter. Obviously it depends on a coax connection between where the IR receiver is and the IR ‘Blaster’ but there’s no rerason why that all couldn’t be inside the cupboard with just the IR receiver visible.

ParticipantHave to agree with Martin that it is likely that the file system has been corrupted and the recorded programme is ‘hidden’. If that is indeed the case then the solution is to format the drive.
If the unit is left on (not standby) all the time it can be more susceptible to corruption. It is recommended to set the auto on and off times so the the unit goes into standby every day/night.

ParticipantI would concur about the problem being drive related.
As it’s out of warranty and if you feel competent enough then I would suggest unplugging the unit, open it and remove the hard drive. Connect the drive to a PC and do a full format of the drive. You could also run chkdsk as well though I’m not sure that wouldn’t be overkill.
Whilst the drive is removed you could check that the box functions as a tuner OK and switching channels works without the delay.
Once formatted remove from the pc and refit to the Humax (with power off) and on powering back up it should prompt you to format again which you should do.
Test recordings and buffer operations and if still faulty you may need to replace the drive.

ParticipantHi and welcome to the forum

Firstly unless you bought a ‘graded’ product the warranty is 2 years so still under warranty. (graded products are factory refurbished and only have a years warranty).
I suspect that recording (68) has become corrupted or there is a hard drive problem where that file is stored. Is the box left on all the time or put into standby?
In the first instance I would recommend contacting Humax.

ParticipantI’m abstaining on this one.
I’m unlikely to buy an HD recorder personally in the near future but do advise others on prospective purchases.
I have all the catchup options I need between my connected Bravia TV, Blu-ray player and my VM Tivo and V+ box, not to mention various sizes and OS’s of computers/smartphones.

ParticipantAIUI the time is picked up from the broadcast signal so would initially be –:– until it sets itself.
Glad it seems to be sorted again.

My OH’s HDR on .27 is not finding the update. Heathfield transmitter.
Any ideas why?
Is the HD Mux broadcast from that transmitter?
Yes, DSO was this month with a channel and system switch on SDN today. Have now done a remote download (over Teamviewer) to USB stick her end and she’s updated that way.
I suspect not many units on .27 so I’d wait to see if anyone else has problem.

ParticipantI also had this re-occur but re-cleaning the board fixed it for a while again. It’s worth another try but if it still doesn’t work you may need to replace the whole clock board, if they are still available.

Hi and Thanks for the reply.
Re: “is there then another cable from the humax to the TV?” – Yes
There is a scart lead from the humax to the tv.
I am wondering wether (if possible) I should connect an old style ‘RF’ cable between them as well.
Cheers
Yes I was referring to the aerial loop (RF) cable not a scart.

ParticipantHi and welcome to the forum

Firstly sorry for the delay in replying.
I am a little confused by your description.
The aerial lead goes to the Humax first, is there then another cable from the humax to the TV?
I assume the ‘Ext’ and ‘TV’ sources are on the TV so if there is no connection from the aerial (RFOUT) on the Humax to the TV you will get no channels on the TV.
Please confirm the firmware version of the box.
If you cannot see any programmes in the recordings list, or cannot get into the list it would suggest a problem with the hard drive or the connections to it. That it was working prior to the installation of the new TV would suggest the latter.
If you feel competent (I assume the box is out of warranty given it’s a 9200t) then disconnect from the mains, open the lid and gently disconnect and reconnect the cable to the hard drive and motherboard (2 inch wide ribbon cable). replace lid and test. Post back here whether that works or not.
