I’m guessing the library defaults to USA’s DST which ends next weekend instead of UK’s BST which ended over last weekend.

If a remove the Humax harddrive is it possible to connect the Humax harddrive directly to the IDE Cable of a PC that runs windows 10?

You can connect direct to an IDE capable PC; you will also need to connect the power to the drive.

Remember DO NOT let Windows initialise the drive.

Can anyone tel me where I might purchase a replacement RF input/RF output box connector to fit onto the main printed circuit board.

Assuming your not talking about a tuner module but just pcb mount sockets try cpc-farnell or rs

As you’ve already tried removing the batteries, are there any other sources of IR that could have a stuck button. Test all your remotes by the method outlined by SSThing to see if any are constantly sending.

Foe the avoidance of doubt – this should be Command-Shift and full stop.

I’ve amended the addendum to show Cmd-Shift and full stop

We are talking MyHumax.net here not myhumax.org

This should not affect your STB

MODERATORS: please can Barry’s FAQ item be updated to say that files transferred to USB storage are now to be found in a .recordings directory which is hidden on a Mac and appears at the start of the of recordings list on a PC. To reveal on a Mac use Ctrl-Shift and full stop.

    I’ve now added an addendum

Or buy a SATA to USB adapter (NB if you go this route be careful to buy an adapter designed for use with a 3.5″ drive, the cheaper ones designed for 2.5″ drives won’t work as they lack a 12V supply), open the Humax, remove the hard drive and connect it to a computer and use the free humaxrw utility (running in recovery mode) to get off the content. A useful thread is https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/restoring-recordings-and-list-to-humax-pvr-9200t

Just to jump in here and say that if this is a 9200T then a SATA to USB connector will not work. You would need an IDE to USB connector though you can get adapters that do both, and you would need a power adapter included.

If it is a 9150T or 9300T then you can follow Martins suggestion though take note regarding the 3.5″ drive which needs external power.

You may find these FAQ’s helpful.

    file-transfer

You may find a third party SMB client will give better results.

    See smbup-mac-os-x-smb-fix/

Note: I have not tried it myself so use at your own risk.

As Pollensa says that is a Dutch cable recorder so you would be better asking on one of the Dutch forums eg https://community.ziggo.nl/mediaboxen-modules-95/humax-ihdr-5200c-signaal-probleem-35114

It appears with a folder I have then selected the folder.

The software must be on the root directory of the USB Pen (i.e. not saved in a folder)

I wasn’t asked to fill a form but was asked for address with postcode when buying receiving equipment which included TV’s and PVR’s and subsequently received letters from TV licensing as the information the shops entered was never full enough to match up with my TV licence.
