Is the box recording when you tried that? If so, some options will not be available until the recording is finished.
Same situ if playing back a recording as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have just tried creating a password and without a password and neither works.

Not much help as I do not usually use FileZilla..however
Just tried and it worked, all I did was to put the IP address of the FVP into host box and hit OK, ie no username, no password:

I’ve no idea why you are having standby problems and others not eg me.
I have portable usb HDD with LED indicators connected to both my units and they definitely are shutting down to full standby.

One member who has tried has informed me by PM it made no difference which I fully expected.
I’ve checked and HB 1100S and a HDR 1000S and iplayer is working OK.
I’ll check a 1010S and 1100S shortly and update this post.Edit: Working OK on HDR1010S and 1100S
I said at the outset the fault your unit has developed was not caused by the software update, it was a coincidence.
Humax have offered you a replacement for your out of warranty unit for a small charge…
Just checked again and all OK on both my 1800 and 2000T. Programmes partially played yesterday, resume option worked.
