Do people who buy a box after making some of the first few comments on this forum, have the possibility of getting some extra bonus gift or money off or something then?

Once I’ve got one installed and working I’ll let you know just what the improvements are from the 4000t.
Whilst I already know what changes/improvements have been made

Thank you Barry. Blimey it’s looking good to go straight for the 2 TB model. with a bit of luck the first remarks on the newer software will be in, or I may even be the first.
I really appreciate your time and trouble to get some more info.

Timers mentioned in post #1 have been actioned, and schedule updated for next episodes, also subsequently set timers via iOS, they to have been actioned correctly.

Any sign of a search facility on the android app?
Not at present, but is one of the enhancements planned for future, no timescale at the moment.
Humax FVP 4000T has always had tiles (grid) for timers/recordings.
List/Tile (Grid) view, user selectable, has been introduced on the FVP 5000T.

In future I will keep my trap closed, also I don’t recall saying I’ve missed recording or the EPG.
Please don’t – the only persons criticising you need take note of are admins
Tested this yesterday for another reason…all working fine on android phone and tablet.
Try checking settings, my profile, in the app for registered device.

A bit of a Catch 22 here then… under the ‘new for old exchange scheme’, Scriabin received a shiny new box, but had to send his old one back with its recordings consigned to infinity…
I wonder if the ‘repair’ option now exists?
Sorry there’s a thread somewhere on here where Humax changed from repairing units to replacement units a while ago.

I’m going to go for the 5000t.
However, I’m still attracted to the 2TB model. Is there any way we can find out when the release date for the 2TB model. If it’s to far away I’ll just go with the 1TB model just as soon as there is some feed back from an owner.

John – Latest I have is 2TB should be available middle to late October.
