Barry, do you have any problems with pressing the FF button multiple times when viewing a recording on the 5000 ? I found with the 4000 that playback often just stops.

Not as yet, I’ll carry out some more tests later.

Are you able to fast forward through advert breaks ok using the H3 & 5000 ? I found with the H3 & 4000 that pressing FF a few times caused playback to stop altogether.

I’ve checked this a few times as members report problems, and cannot replicate…I have noted the length of skip differs depending on:

    1. Duration of timer

    2. Whether it is SD or HD

I haven’t investigated this further at this time.

FVP units (4000 and 5000T) plus H3 are connected to network via powerline adaptors.

For the avoidance of any doubt…

Believe member is referring to the Live TV app not TV Player app.

    A glitch negotiating with servers?

Just checked my 5000T and all present and correct.

Try powering down unit for a few minutes then switch on again.

With apologises for the delay in response.

Clarification needed, do you actually mean pictures or recordings?

    If recordings then…

I’ve just tested streaming from a FVP 4000T and 5000T and the ‘skip’ buttons appear to be working, amount of skip depends on what you are streaming, ie SD/HD and the duration of the recording.

You can either use the dedicated buttons on the H3 remote or use the on screen graphic, highlight the direction you want to skip and press OK.

Try a reset of the H3?

The problem you reported on your Humax remote is a known issue for early variants…I would contact Humax and see if they will replace it again.

Re guide….I don’t have iPhone but on ipad (mini)…

TV Guide app – is there not a drop down menu for date above channel number, there is on ipad.

Live TV app (if accessing guide) there is a calendar icon next to the date, again on the ipad.

Media – as other members, clarification needed.

On screen keyboard Highlight ABC press OK…

You can now enter characters via on screen keyboard or keys on remote.

I think the two items connected by white wires are the wifi antennas

Not keen on that 3.5 inch hard drive though, especially as it doesn’t seem to have any sort of decent caddy supporting it.

The HDD is held in place by 4 screws in bottom of unit, and in the picture, bottom right of HDD you can see a small padded bracket.

Not something I have witnessed myself.

Have you tried a factory reset?

Recordings made in SD and copied to usb should play back on the 5000T using USB and most likely can be played back direct from a home network using the 5000T DLNA client and the HDR FOX T2 DLNA server.

Both options will work for SD.
