    The online manual has been updated to reflect the 3 secs hold as a few reported the issue to Humax.

    Doesn’t not control volume on my TV either (Sony) – I think it is only intended to be a turn TV off/on.

    I am trying to link the aura remote to my Tv to control its volume. I’ve tried both methods once you press the Tv and ok buttons until the red light comes on 1) pressing the channel button 2) entering the three digit code. Only the 2nd option works where it switches off the Tv (and three codes do this) but when I press the ok button after the Tv switches off the light on the aura does not flash to confirm it has been saved. Anyone come across this or all working ok?

    Try pressing and holding OK for 3 secs for confirmation.

    Not an option at present, maybe included in a later update.

    In the meantime, just press and hold left button to move quickly to start or point you want to view from.

    Have a Humax HDR-1010S. After logging into YouTube successfully I am getting a problem with the alpha numeric keyboard display on my TV’s screen disappearing when I try to search for a video using my Humax remote control. I notice this topic has been raised before, but I do not see any response offering a solution to the problem. Is this problem under investigation by Humax?

    Welcome to our Forum :-)

    There are 2 standby states:

    1. What we call ‘active’ – short press of standby button, video/audio outputs off, rest of unit including HDD still active.

    2. Full standby – initiated by long press of standby button and accepting the pop up asking if sure.

    When you turn in if the LED is Blue, unit is on.

    Unit will automatically shut down to standby in accordance with the setting in Device Preferences, Screen Saver, Put Device to Sleep.

    There is no need to leave the unit on for recordings to take place, they will work with unit in standby.

    I leave the Humax Aura switched on all night because I usually have things set to record. However the Red Light shows all night. When I switch on TV and goto HDMI 1 which the Aura is on, there is a black screen, until I press the live tv button.

    Then when I look at the list of recordings, there are three or four recordings I did not set! Some of them are radio! Does an Aura Demon live inside? Seriously though it is really weird. Any suggestions about any of these things, please?

    When you say you leave it on all night do you mean in or out of standby?

    Must be in standby for the LED to be red.

    Thank you.. I’d never noticed that in the menus.

    Doesn’t look like can change the order of channels in the programme guide on the website, so having to scroll down for HD…

    Does the Aura support remote recording via an app or mYHUMAX site?

    As Graham has stated the App is not yet available…but

    You can set timers from myhumax.net if you register the unit, and switch on remote recording.

    If anyone has had issues setting remote to control TV, once code is found you have to press the OK button for 3 seconds for it to be saved. User manual has been updated to reflect this.
