ModeratorAh they had cottoned on as well then…..That will spoil the party for those just waiting to leap on Humax 🙄
AD and Sub-Titles have always worked for me, where present.
Barry
ModeratorI expect that to be the case, certainly during testing, channel additions were only added overnight.
Barry
ModeratorTry recording it now, all you doubters 😆
Now should I edit the thread title
Barry
ModeratorI saw this reported on one of the forums once, someone had similar symptoms, and I know you have already tried similar.
I’d been having the same problems with a non-working remote. I managed to speak to HUMAX tech support who gave me this solution.
•Switch on your Freesat Box
•Take the batteries out of your remote control
•Point your remote at the receiver on the box hold down the standby button for about 15 seconds
•Put the batteries back in
If all has gone well it should drain all power from the remote and cause it to reset itself.

ModeratorIt does sound like a mismatch in the codes. notwithstanding you cannot see the prompts on screen, you could try cycling through each of the 6 codes in turn to see if the unit will then respond.
The PVR light stays on when in code changing mode, and flashes 3 times when you change a code successfully.
Failing that, and unless someone else has any bright ideas, a failure of the sensor on the HDR? in which case a call to Humax Support.
Barry
Moderator1. Welcome to the Forum

2. Can you operate the HDR from the front buttons?
3. You state you have tried the remote code change, did you actually succeed in changing the code?
Barry
ModeratorWhat ‘not recording’ bug..I know what you are getting at, just hate the term – ‘bug’

The info I have to hand it is not a problem with the HDR. Watch this space.
Edit: I note someone on DS has successfully recorded other DVB S2 streams without issue apparently.

ModeratorWe do not appear to have time displayed anyway, so topic is not really relevant, nor is it that important.
Thread closed.

ModeratorWelcome to the Forum

and
Thank you for the support I have been reading elsewhere 😉
Barry
ModeratorNo idea what they are playing at.
Tis a pity they did not read the whole thread on DS though, they would then have realised it was affecting other kit as well.

The penny has dropped from the poster who thought the power cut bug was still there

So I see, and full marks to them for the update.
My numpty comment has obviously caused a stir in certain quarters.
Instead of rushing to try and pull this software apart, users should take their time, test it PROPERLY, then such comments would not be justified, plus it will stop them from embarassing themselves.
and one final point
I do not work for Humax, never have, but I do have very good contacts, speak with them regularly, exchange views opinions on current products etc.
Barry
ModeratorThank you Graham for your testing, good to have another experienced, and knowledgeable user confirm.

ModeratorQuestions re the loader:
The new loader is NOT required for any of the changes as detailed in the release note for the new beta.
It will be made available for download sometime in the future.

ModeratorCan I emphasis again the need for feedback on ITV Player as per my OP with link to the spreadsheet.

ModeratorNew firmware ‘not so funnies’
Rant mode on:
Nothing gets my back up more then reading utter nonsense from the numpties in other places.
eg: Power cut problem is not fixed posted by one member, immediately reported in another thread as ‘some’ members, and the report is in error anyway.
Think I know where the ‘expert’ went wrong in his haste to post his ‘news’ – and I’ll end this rant with one word in Caps as a clue.
Do users really think that after this amount of time, this problem would not have been tested, and tested, and tested and – you get the idea. If you had sight of the spreadsheet used to test this problem, you would realise how many hours were spent on this one single area alone.
Questions on buffer recording – is it mentioned in the release note, were hints not dropped over a Month ago that this would not be included.
I could go on, but it is late, and words really do fail sometimes.
Rant mode off
PADDING
Edit 17 Mar @ 12:25
Appears my guess was wrong but on the right lines, manual timer was used. Unit has never booted at T-15 for manual or auto pad timers.
