ModeratorI use the Humax WiFi dongle, and ext HDD via a powered hub with a
HD T2 without issue.
HDR T2’s are connected via powerline or hub to the router.

ModeratorHaving had a trawl through some info, whilst it appears Danielle is leaving, the other info may not be so accurate, not for the immediate future anyway.

Barry do Foxsat-hdrs now read NTFS like the Freeview hdrs ?
Thought they always did, though I stand to be corrected, easilly confused nowadays, so much going on 😉
Edit:
Sorry my mistake 😳
Apologises to the OP, whilst we got to the root of the problem, it was more by luck then judgement.

ModeratorWelcome to the Forum

From the description you have posted it sounds as if the HDD’s you are connecting are not formatted for file transfer, and are NTFS I presume, as you can read the contents.
HDD’s connected via usb have to be formatted as Fat 32 (for transfer of files less then 4Gb in size) or ext3 for larger transfers.
If you can confirm the file format of the drives you are attempting to use, then one of us can take it form there.

ModeratorThe eagle eyed amongst you might have spotted something ‘weird’ with the updates as listed on the DTG website.
Currently updates have to end at midnight, and then re commence at 10am next day, this is due to a problem being experienced by another manufacturer.
Obviously the only recourse for HD/HDR T2 owners is manually updating, either using the OTA when broadcast or via USB.

Sorry Barry, I’m going to disagree with you on this one. I was away for two weeks last month and my HDR behaved in exactly the way that others have reported ie no series links after the first week. The obvious example was Springwatch which recorded four programmes on BBC HD the first week, up to and including the Thursday night one, but recorded nothing the following week. I can categorically state that it was not tuned in to two transmitters as I had tuned it manually to the correct mux frequencies from Black Hill myself.
Well I have just made a trawl through the thread elsewhere.
Can only find 3 users who are reporting a problem, and you yourself (if the same ejstubbs) posted that both the transmitters you can receive went through different phases of DSO whilst you were away.
If any members suffer this problem then please report:
1. Transmitter.
2. How long the unit was in standby for.
3. Last programme successfully recorded – prog name and channel.
4. The error message reported with the first failed recording if possible, again with prog name and channel.
Edit as more info has now become available.
5. Using AutoPadding or AR

An error occurred whilst launching the application https::/wwwe.humaxtvportal.com
Is the server down ?
Sat in front of an HDR at the moment Graham, and that has connected OK….I’ll try the HD in a moment and edit.
Edit: HD T2 connected ok as well.

have loaded the latest software from humax which includes access to youtube through the tv portal but none of the videos will play.
Anyone had a simlar problem ?
Welcome to the Forum

1. I will move this thread to correct area in a moment.
2. Just tried you tube, and the streams I selected replayed OK. I am aware that some do not replay though, especially some of the music videos.

Does this box have the same bug as the Foxsat HDR used to regarding its failure to recover from a power cut fully thus losing the current date and time?
Nope
Further info as I see this is still getting coverage.
My timers list, all series record items, consisted of weekday and weekly programmes, some 21 timers in total, SD and HD.
Barry
ModeratorCan only tell it as I witness it, users who suffer the problem will have to dig deeper then to find the reason.
I should add that I carried out 2 x 8 Day tests prior to this, but
I decided that a longer period was required to be confident of my findings. The 8 Day tests were also OK.
I find it strange only a very small number of users have witnessed this behaviour, given the number of T2’s now out there.

Check to see that the connection between the Humax and TV has not been disturbed, ie the Scart/HDMI leads are fully inserted.

Often reported, try enabling then disabling subtitles, this appears to fix the problem….Menu, Settings, Language, Subtitle Display.
Subtitles appearing on BBC 1 SD is normally an indication that you have used custom region.
