Strange combination of problems, the EPG should be saved to the HDD, and the now next info should be from transmitted signal.
1. Have you had any issues with recordings.
2. Has you area recently gone through the digital switchover process.

ModeratorHad a trawl through sone comments on other places, Forums, Blogs.
Not surprised to see the usual from some quarters, however there is also some misleading rubbish eg
1. Cannot get the unit to switch to a programme that is currently on air from the EPG – works for me.
2. Good one this, for the unit to update via OTA have to ensure that auto update is enabled in the menu?

Barry, can you confirm a OTA start date? The 14th perhaps?
Should be Thurs 13 from about 10am, but don’t hold me to that

ModeratorFollow up to this.
WD Elements 2 TB Desktop HDD, formatted to ext 3 using GParted (Ubuntu live cd)
Connected to HD T2 and capacity is reported as 1848.1TB.
A couple of instant records and one scheduled timer have recorded ok.
Currently copying over recordings from previous drive, and will then use this 2 TB for a while.

Thanks Barry.
You are welcome, as can be seen from the timing of my post, uploads, and notification to me can happen at any time, not just a 9 to 5 job

ModeratorGateway address does not seem right to me unless you have manually configured your router.
Why not try DHCP on the HDR to start with, it should not conflict, as will only select an ip that is available.
I can certainly connect using internet/windows explorer using ftp and copy content off to PC…..not that I bother as I have ext usb drives attached to all my boxes

ModeratorThe procedure contained in the link Martin has provided should work, as a quick glance at the user manual for the 5050 reveals the remote appears to be the same model as we use in the UK for our Fox HDR T2 – RM-F04
Barry
ModeratorCould be caused by:
1. LNB cables connected to the wrong terminals on the HDR, quite easy to do if you do not concentrate…..easy to check they should be connected to the outer terminals of the three, the middle one being LNB out.
2. Unit was set up as a single cable install, again easy to check
Menu
Setup
Highlight Freesat Tune but do not press OK.
Press Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Green, Yellow, Blue
Highlight Antenna Setting press OK
Connection Type should be – Two Cable(Same) – if it states single cable then carry out a Factory reset, and it should automatically find two cables….Note a factorty reset will delete your schedule so make a note of any timers you have set.
Barry
ModeratorYeah the change of end date was uploaded quite quickly (not of Humax making)

All I can say at the moment is watch this space 😉
