Not dim at all, which is why I mentioned the device buttons first.

OK this is really the wrong thread but don’t worry I can get the posts moved.
There is not normally an issue with your unit.
The error some users make is not having the correct device selected via the buttons at top of remote ie PVR
Menu, Settings, System, System Information will list the software version.

I have just started experiencing a problem with the remote not working I’ve changed the batteries I brought it July 2011 can anyone help please?

What model of PVR are you have ing problems with, and what is the software version.
I would imagine TH will appear on the HD at some point, as for the other two, not on Humax boxes using the official firmware.

If you can access the menus (taking the aerial out might help), you can reset the password, see this FAQ:

Make sure Content Share is enabled:
Menu, Settings, System, Internet Setting, Content Share.

The FAQ’s are your friend.
The loader is updated in the same way as the software, it can be as a combined file or as a seperate upload, depends on what is provided.
