Audio balance, cannot comment really as I connect direct to TV. However the next version of software may contain further improvements in this area 😉
Portal – If you have reset your unit then try configuring the Lan connection as DHCP and apply, see if that now works, you can change the IP address later if required.

ModeratorI would try again using the DHCP option, once working you can then change the IP to one you want to use.

ModeratorSomeone on a different forum, different username, has similar problems, and it appears in their case the software uploaded is not the latest version.
Perhaps a careful check of version in use?

ModeratorPuzzled, why has it been for repair, and not swapped out – remembering your retailer is the one ultimately responsible during the first 12 Months.
Who is arranging the repairs?
Barry
ModeratorDo you happen to know which transmitter they receive their signals from?
Is there any on screen message when the problem materialises?

Strange one this. To start with what software version does the unit have?
Barry
ModeratorI was aware it was not going to be until after Easter, so I presume so.
Barry
ModeratorI’ve edited the above to correct some info re location of HDD test facility.
It was also pointed out to me that some would have no idea what AD was, so have added to that.
Barry
ModeratorUmm was not aware it went into production. It was not released because of continuing AD (Audio Description) issue, however it does contain some new features.
1. Pop up on screen dependant on what device you have selected, but only works with the MDB version remote.
2. HDD Test via Data Storage Menu.
It is not the latest version, which has some fixes, but news on that when I can.

The usual problem is being tuned to more then one transmitter, but also there has been a problem with units locking up if the latest software is not uploaded.
So check to see if you have any channels listed in the 800 range (not 100% proof but gives members an idea) and software version currently in use via menu, system, status.
Barry
ModeratorThanks for confirming that Graham.

Whilst on the Day you reported this itvplayer was working for me, a few Days later it packed up for everyone I believe, and freesat were made aware.
As of approx 1630 yesterday it was working again, I have seen reports that freesat were advising a power cycle to fix, this I believe to be incorrect (no surprise!) as I did not have to*
Same dire quality though!
* I know exactly when the power was last switched off/on on my units, due to TV replacement.

Instead of using elinker try the Media Controller GUI programme, details here:
http://myhumax.org/wiki/index.php/Media_Controller_GUI
As for the Foxsat PVR, very easy to transfer to an external HDD attached to one of the USB ports on the unit – however you have to format the HDD as ext 3 if you want to transfer files over 4Gb.
I have removed your other duplicate post
Barry
ModeratorYou could try the following, no idea why it works, but some have reported success in the past.
Take out the batteries, and the press OK and 0 (zero) on the remote simultaneouosly for a few seconds.
