Argos – don’t ya just luv ’em
1 available at local store to reserve for collection – I think not, in fact I know not, cos they aint in production yet 🙄
No News, but still planned, I suspect freesat decide the roadmap for updates/added features, and this is not one of their priorites.
Only checked that programme, and affecting both SD and HD currently, the beeb will probably fix it soon.

Try removing the aerial, then boot the box and carry out a default to factory settings.
Don’t read to much into the Argos spiel, about the only thing they have correct is the model number.

The HDR 2000T is in development though it is not due to launch just yet.
Whilst significant for those affected, out of the 100’s of thousand SD PVR’s sold only a very small percentage of users where/are affected. I have every model and have never lost recordings.

Did you actually disconnect the LNB cables from the unit? if so, possible you may have not connected them back up correctly – ie the outer 2 sockets, not the middle one.
Failing that what does it state via:
Menu
Highlight Freesat tune and press RGYBGYB (ignoring the no entry on screen icon)
Antenna Setting
Connection Type.
