i’d love to get involved in the beta testing if possible as I have been a Humax owner since the first freeview recorder came out which I bought after a back op in early 2000’s and have never looked back since.
Private message me your unit serial number

Just wanted to highlight a small and fairly cosmetic bug with the EPG on the Aura, relating to recording and deleting series episodes.
If I’ve got a series set to record the icon shows up on the shows entries in the EPG. But once a few episodes have been recorded, if you watch and delete those then the icon in the EPG vanishes.
The series record is still there and set up (you can see it in the schedule list), but if you go into the EPG and open an upcoming episode you have the record button available again, and if you click it, it doesn’t do anything (presumably as the recording is already set).
It’s fairly cosmetic, but if you don’t remember what’s already been scheduled for record then it can look like the upcoming episodes aren’t going to be recorded and there’s no way to set them.
Welcome to our Forum

Problem fixed in an early beta as you will see once I submit your serial number to the open beta group.

ModeratorStrange that some of you are having issues with on demand/apps.
If you report an issue can you mention how unit is connected, LAN or WiFi, might help in trying to replicate/diagnose the issue, if there is one.
For info my units are LAN, either direct connection or powerline adaptor.

Watching all4 app again today. The picture froze but the sound continued in the background. I had to press “live tv” to get out of the app as it had locked up and no other commands were working.
Strange, after reading your 2 reports of issues with all4, thought I would try and replicate, tried a couple of 50 minute playbacks without any issues.
Same with your get more apps report, tried this a few times but could not replicate.
Anyone else care to try, see if they can replicate the problems?

Current Installed Release: 03.04.21
I don’t know if this happened on the current public release, or previous betas, but on the programme search if you enter New: or New: followed by a space it completely ignores the : and space and you end up with every programme with ‘new’ in the title.
Most broadcasters prefix new content with New: I was just interested to see what was coming up when I noticed the issue.
Just entered new: and only one New: comes up in yellow followed by Dwight in Shining Armour. No recordings or on demand for that program?
Correct, in suggested content listed below search box.
Try pressing OK at end of search term, and you’ll get same results as others have reported.

I’m hoping in any future update the in-play sound in FFWD 1.5x and 2.0x mode (“Pinky & Perky setting”) won’t get disabled as it’s utterly hilarious & a feature almost worth the price of the box itself
I concur

Whilst the appearance of search has changed for the better imho since last public release, the results obtained using your search criteria are the same.

ModeratorIt may be a holiday weekend, but no rest for Humax personnel

Comment just received from a programmer (thank you from me)
The current public software has crude FF / REW (trick modes), about 1 frame per second, while beta software can display more frames in higher speed, and more accurate positioning when user press “PLAY”.
So hopefully you will be pleased once software is released publically mid April.

ModeratorRequest from programmer re this thread about FF/RWD
https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/fast-forward-and-rewind-not-smooth
Beta releases have improved ‘trick play perforamance’
Comments from testers re fast forward/rewind would be appreciated.

Regarding DLNA, I was watching a recording on my phone when it suddenly stopped at 11pm when my Aura is scheduled to go into deep standby. This would not happen if I was watching a recording (or live tv) on the Aura itself as it would wait for me putting it in (normal) standby before going into deep standby. I will try and check this again some time. I do not know if this is the intended behaviour.
Changed in the next release which will be available in a few
hoursminutes, will close this and open new thread with release note when the time comes. Thanks to all that passed comments on this release.

Can’t say I found an issue with FF or RWD.
To move through adverts I use the skip function, set at 1 minute forward and 30 secs back. Options can be found in Settings, Record & Share, Instant Replay Time, Skip Forward Time.

From the programmer:
At the moment the implementation only checks if there is transcoding on-going before entering deep standby.
They will check and see if changes can be made.
