Why Humax have told you they cannot offer support on the product is beyond me at the moment, especially as it is available through retail outlets. I will check next week on this.
Any news on this?
Apparently BT provide the support, I find this strange to be honest for retail customers who have no other connection with BT.

It would appear you are trying to view one of the iptv channels (200 range)
Try changing to a ‘normal’ channel, if you cannot before the unit locks up then power off, disconnect the aerial, switch on, change to a ‘normal’ channel, the switch off and reconnect aerial.

Unlike many I never had an issue with the wifi dongle and Humax units (tested it on a few)
I would start from scratch – reset the 2000T and then try again. One thing worthy of note is do not use any unusual characters or spaces in your router password.
Also there is an issue whereby the unit does not recognise network is connected even though it is, I usually find just entering the internet settings menu and then exit fixes this.

As one of your pre requisites is ‘best on demand’ then your choices are youview or freesat freetime.
If satellite is out of the question then I would suggest the DTR T2100/2110 Whilst I do not have one myself, reading elsewhere it would appear to be a lot faster in response to users inputs.

You do not need to press as such just touch.
Just tried it out on mine again, and it enters maintenance mode after touching the power button on ‘maintenance mode Y/N’ prompt.
Once ‘enter maintenance mode yes/no’ option appears are you touching the power button again to confirm action?
