Just fast forwarded to the end (got a bit boring with the country athletes parade) and nothing is missing! Hurrah!

I have two recordings of the Olympics Ceremony:

Olympics Countdown at 122 mins and Olympics 2012: Opening Ceremony at 232 mins, both on BBC One HD and recorded on the HDR-FOX T2.

All seems fine with my Humax! (v1.02.28 firmware with a7.30 loader)

Don’t tell me that. We are watching the Opening Ceremony now… Would be gutting if the end is cut off!

Started watching the build up and realised that it was too short, but now understand why the BBC split the recording into two parts…

The start and end of recording is controlled by the broadcasters (this one is the under the BBC control) so it is not the HDR FOX T2’s fault! If it does cut off, I will see if it is the same on the Freesat box (as I also set that to record).

Is there any info/specs on this box yet?

    Google cannot find anything..

I have now created a wiki page on this box: http://myhumax.org/wiki/index.php/Humax_DTR-T1000

Looks like you can get a YouView box (presumably the DTR-T1000) from TalkTalk if you sign up to one of its ‘YouView’ bundles: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/07/26/talktalk_q1_results/

In that case then, I would assume the OD functions must/have to be top notch for this box to succeed!

I voted YES but ONLY if the YV box had exactly the same PVR facilities as the FOX T2.

    1. Programme has Guidance (warnings such as strong language, sexual content, violence)

    2. Recording is encrypted (usually recording of HD channels, cannot be copied off to USB drive)

The footy did not overrun. No extra time or penalties. Game was over in 90mins. Also, isn’t Mock of the Week on BBC 2?

Are you sure you are viewing the HDMI picture – and not the one on SCART? If you are still on HDMI, what resolution is the output (change using the V-Format button)?

Find a monitor with HDMI (with HDCP) input. I use my FOXSAT-HDR with my BenQ monitor via HDMI just fine.

Recorded 2 hours + 15 mins of drivel! Original timer recorded up to start of the match (after delay). I knew they would cock it up so set timer on the next two programme after to record. Those two also cocked up – the first recorded 15mins and the second failed!

(Next time I should set a manual or perform a manual record.)

What do you think will happen on the BBC tonight? (There’s a 15mins delay to the programme.)

Mine too now. Slack work by the BBC.

It’s usually ITV or CH4 that SR metadata go AWOL, not the BBC! (Shame on them – or maybe we are getting informally presented Euro 2012 🙄 )

I will check again tonight to see if they’ve fixed the problem on Freeview in my region…

Exactly – talking into a bucket – and it’s rusty at that!

Goes to show, you can spend hundreds of pounds on AV systems, but if it’s shit in from the BBC, then it’s shit out into your living room!
