I believe the BBC coverage is in HD this season – has anyone got any comments on the quality?

I also heard about the BBC messing about trialing 1080p broadcasts; are they messing about on the F1 coverage too?

Reported by a DS poster who also mentions that receiving broadcast info remains on screen for 40 secs – a good 10 secs more than my box. Could this be a poor freesat transponder signal?

This new feature really hacks me off! I don’t know why they’ve changed it to behave this way – I bet all to do with Freesat+ data changes!!

When we’re waiting for something it does seem to take longer than it actually does – the poster need to time it with a watch and not just guess. Having said this, I’ve experienced that sometimes it seems to take a lot longer than 30secs! :(

Load testing is pretty easy to test – just having the time and patience to find out how much it can cope with…

One question I must ask is whether you’ve replaced your HDD? If so, what have you replaced it with?

If you are lucky enough to have an HD and HDR T2 you can now stream content from the HDR T2 to the HD T2 including HD.

One lucky MyHumax.Org member is going to get one next month! :)

Good news about the firmware… But can’t help feeling jealous (owning a FOXSAT-HD instead…)

I would recommend setting the FOXSAT-HDR a static IP address. You can manually stick in the router’s IP for the DNS resolver, and for each time the router or HDR is reset it has the same IP so you won’t need to remap.

The media bundle turns the HDR into a DLNA server or media server. It doesn’t turn into a client, so no.

Two hours since the FOXSAT-HDR hasn been on – media serving freezes… It has to be the ppwer saving feature of the box. The reason why I’ve not suspected this before was that I know it only power saves during the evening period. I didn’t thing it carried over its uptime into that period…

Froze again last night, after watching about 2 hours of a recorded movie. I must get to the bottom of this… I suspect it is the FOXSAT-HDR but no recording was kicked off this time…

Set two timers to record 2 HD channels and then playback of an HD recording, then attempted to playback MotD via Twonky DLNA. All was fine! So the box can cope with this demand.

It must be something else making Dr Who freeze with the buffering action…

Was using Twonky last night to watch a recording of Dr Who… and it happened again! Playback froze 6 mins into latest episode and XMBC started to buffer but got stuck at 1%.

I could exit this process so it wasn’t XBMC that crashed, but after moving about in XMBC, then back to the FOXSAT-HDR, it could not access the box. I went to check the FOXSAT to see what it was doing, and I saw that it was recording.

This is the second time it happened so I suspect that we can not playback recordings via the DLNA server when the FOXSAT is recording… I will test this out, but has anyone come across this or something similar?

    son_t – 5 hours ago  »  Is dropbear-ssh available for the FOXSAT-HDR?

Try looking in the installers folder of the package

Doh! Probably was looking the other way or for ‘ssh’! 😳

Could you have a go at producing a perl package? I wouldn’t mind having a go at writing such a script as af123’s dedup for the FOXSAT-HDR… One thing that niggles me is the question whether I have to manipulate the hmt file – replacing the filename string with the new name. I don’t think dedup on the HDR-FOX T2 does this… and that it should do..?

I’ve just connected my Xbox360 to the FOXSAT-HDR running Twonky and although it sees the HDR, none of the recordings shows up. Does any know if the 360 supports .ts media files, and if not, how to get it to?
