I suspect Humax are no longer supporting the box or even developing beta firmware for it…
Barry has several times suggested that there remains a possibility of a software update for the 9200; are you discounting his suggestions?
No, not saying that. Just suspect the old 9200T is not getting the full look in due the lack of any mention of this box on the beta software site. If Barry says otherwise, then he certainly knows better. I wonder if he knows when it will go onto the beta site..?
I would still like to know what fixes the op would like as I don’t have the other boxes and have not been keep up…

ParticipantAll three PVR-9xx0T models have a rear VCR SCART sockets. If your VCR can record from its SCART input, then connect up the Humax via this SCART socket and record.
You will have to have the Humax watching the channel you want to record or playback the recording you want to transfer to VCR tape.

ParticipantCould you sumarise which bug fixes you think would be useful on the 9200T?
If you look at the Humax Beta software site, there does not seem to be a 9200T section, and so I suspect Humax are no longer supporting the box or even developing beta firmware for it…

I always select from the guide to reserve a programme and then go into the recording schedule to add a few minutes to the end time.
Thanks
If you are doing that then, edit the time using the numbers on the remote rather than using the left/right arrows.

ParticipantMake sure under Time Settings, your time zone is set to Auto and not any other option.

ParticipantIf I remember correctly, the fan is thermostatically controlled. It will turn on if the temperature inside the box gets too hot. Certainly, the fan in my box does not activate when the box is first switched on.

ParticipantIs there a power saving feature on the drive that is enabled?

ParticipantMake the box is running the latest firmware (1.02.20) and try again.

EDIT: Just tried to playback (in VLC) a couple of converted .ts files exported from the FOXSAT-HDR, and they don’t seem to play… Is it me or anyone else having this problem?
My laptop won’t play HD smoothly with vlc. Have you tried Splash Lite ?
Nice one Graham – I’ve just tried this, after reading the ‘can’t play .ts file’ post, on the converted .ts files – and yes it plays back just fine!
The once play everything VLC player has not been superceeded!

ParticipantDoes it stick once you’ve chosen a channel on the list and changed to it? (This is the second OK, the first OK is to get into the list, after the green button.)
I suspect that the favourite list is lost if you decide to change to a channel that is not on the list or that the box kicks in a timer on a channel that is not in that fav list…
The FOXSAT-HDR does not have 3 tuners.

ParticipantAfter selecting the favourite list using the green button you actually need to select it (ok) and then go into it (ok again) to make it stick.
Remember this FAQ: http://myhumax.org/forum/topic/favorite-list-are-not-reflected-in-the-epg

ParticipantNo, it does not have a RF out… if that is what you mean.

ParticipantNot all channels carry Series Record metadata for their programmes… and so you would not be able to automatically set the ‘series’ to record.
In such cases, the best you will be able to do is set repeated timers to record your programmes. (Select the programme to record via the EPG and edit the timer to repeat record.)

ParticipantCertain HD recordings allow you to copy ‘once only’ for backup purposes. Looks like this is what happened – the box thought it successfully transferred the recording off and has marked it copied – not allowing further transfers.
You might be able to find a Raydon utility to mark the recording as not transferred and then trying another copy.

ParticipantThe older Humax PVRs use the .ts format, the newer PVRs use the .m2ts format for recordings including radio (audio only). This could explain the file sizes.
A 30 mins SD recording of Eastenders on the 26th gave:
1, on the 9200T – 679,448,064 bytes
2, on the HDR-FOX T2 – 870,313,984 bytes
3, on the HDR-FOX T2 – gave same size decrypted (copied to external HDD)
