You will not lose your recordings, that is a separate step.
It will tell you what will be deleted and confirms your recordings will be saved.
It might help to confirm which reset you are talking about as there is more than one.

Just bought an FVP-5000T, which works fine but there is a significant delay between the sound from the TV speaker and what I hear through my hearing aids via a ‘Phonak TV Connector’ (Bluetooth) connected to the LG TV optical output. Changing the FVP-5000T lip-sync setting from default 0 ms just makes the delay worse (TV speaker needs to be on for the rest of the family, but of course I hear both).
What happens if you connect “Phonak TV Connector” direct to the FVP-5000T?

Manhattan T3R appears to be flaky, with lots of complaints, and plenty of support issues.
My understanding is that when when the T3R first came out it did have issues but Manhattan put a lot of effort into fixing most of them. Have you looked at the dates of the complaints?
I don’t have confidence the T4R will be a game changer.
Fair enough, new boxes often have initial problems so give it a few months after launch and see what the opinions of the users are.

I found this you-tube link and it worked – the SATA connector was corroded, green crust on the contacts. Scrape, spray, sorted.
Interesting.
So in this case not the mysterious resistor/capacitor or a trip to Digirepairs. YMMV.
I came to the conclusion that the mystery resistor/capacitor was probably not the problem some time ago.
No idea why the corrosion when the rest of the box looks clean, dry and tickety-boo.
Given that this isn’t a common problem (although not unknown) on other Humax boxes, it is indeed an odd problem. Do any of the people here with an electronics repair background have any thoughts?

I’ve recently moved from Youview to Freeview Play.
In Youview guide, you can move a day at a time by pressing the forward button. Can this be done on Freeview, and if so, how?
Humax make several models of Freeview recorders; which one do you have please?

Will think further about what more to try …
Thanks for the feedback; hope you can think of something else to try.

I have the NW version of BBC1hd already, it’s just in the wrong position due to its channel number (814)
I just want to change the order of the channels
Sorry but in this situation (where more has changed than meets the eye) you need to do an automatic retune without the smart option.

Hi, thanks. I’ve tried that but I still get the message No programme information available. It’s since we’ve got the regional programmes in HD.
Any other thoughts?
Have you power cycled the box ? (ie put the box in standby, wait for the hard drive to stop spinning, turn off the electrical supply, wait for 30 seconds and then turn on the power again).

Is there anyway I can get that back to 101 on my EPG. My transmitter is Winter Hill?
An automatic tune with the “Smart tune” option off (this will delete your schedule of future recordings) should resolve the problem.

When was the last time you used your Foxsat PVR? There has been various channel updates over past few months. John L
I thought a FOXSAT automatically retuned overnight?

Hopefully Freesat will fix fault very soon.
Have you reported the problem to Freesat and Humax?

Any suggestions of other things to try would be most appreciated (e.g. 2 x surface mount 10uF 50V caps mentioned by andyfras back in 2016).
If you are out of ideas you might try this heat gun fix that is reported to have some success in reviving HDR-1000S boxes. https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/humax-hdr-1000s-not-recognising-hard-drive#post-96522

however, was that at the point of failure I had switched on my Powerlines so I could do some streaming later in the evening. So it looks like a power spike when switching on the Powerlines.
Rather than a power spike, I think it might be the wired network becoming available. The people over at hummy.tv who are familiar with the networking code on the HDR-FOX T2 are of the opinion that Humax are not good at writing network code and some errors are not caught; maybe the same thing is happening on the Aura.

FYI…. WD10PURZ 1TB purchased and fitted….formatted…Pvr took ages (approx 30 secs) to respond to any remote instruction. Recordings would not show on screen and guide listings would not populate. In essence the drive is not compatible. Will be returning the drive.
I would guess the issue that it is a SATA 3 drive and the Humax wants a SATA 1 (or maybe 2) drive. Earlier Western Digital Drives had jumpers to reduce the SATA speed where needed; I can’t see any mention of them in the rather scant information that WD publish. It looks to me as though there is a software utility available from Seagate to change the SATA speed on Seagate drives such as the Skyhawk.

I manually added my mux’s and wondered if you have done it this way, do you need to retune in some way, or remove the mux and re-add it.
You say you manually added your mux’s but did you delete the old mux’s?
Or do you generally not need to do anything when they suggest you retune?
It depends on the nature of the change. The recent BBC 1 HD changes definitely required a retune of the relevant mux for recording to work. If the change is just minor additions of obscure new channels or changes of LCN then retuning is optional.
